In 1835, Amédée Vignot, boarded a ship in Bordeaux bound for New York City. By 1848, Amédée, his wife Marie, and son Alfred had established a successful family business importing wines from France. Today, 170 years later, Clement Vignot van Beuren Butt, Amédée’s third great grandson, continues in his family tradition by hand selecting and importing a unique portfolio of French wines labeled Sélection CLÉMENT VIGNOT.
Across France there are fantastic wines that deserve more than a local audience. By traveling constantly, in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Provence, the Rhône, talking with those working in the vineyards and cellars, tasting many, many wines, we select only those that represent true expressions of excellent terroir. These are elegant, estate grown and bottled wines worthy of the Sélection CLÉMENT VIGNOT label.
We work only with very small, artisanal producers who respect the land and techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. If you can’t join us for a trip through the vineyards, know that when you enjoy a glass of Sélection CLÉMENT VIGNOT wine, it comes to you directly from some of the finest boutique winemakers in France, who share our commitment to quality and protecting the environment.
